Just finished mine, decided to wear it under my balaclava with some rubber strings holding it behind my ears, works like a charm and people have no idea.

Man the release of this video timing was perfect because I was thinking about doing something like this for my first milsim event I'll be going to next month and now I know what I want to do, thanks guys!

Thank you for making this a thorough video that was easy to follow and showing the end result. Managed to make my own version of your mesh mask quickly and without headaches!

I personally use a hairdryer to remove all the elastic band from the metal mesh (by keeping max of glue on the band). Then, I cut the good shape and I re-glue the band with the hairdryer (with only one clean cut in the band in final result). No oven needed, no glue gun. (sorry for my english)

As an alternative to the scissors you could look for a cheap set of tin snips, which are designed to cut through things like thin sheet metal

Hey lone tree! Do you remember me I was playing with you guys and sack and I was the little short grey camo kid on your team. I just got my HK GBB mp7 and I went to a field in Erie Colorado and we had to crono and I had 440FPS and it's stock and my m4 was 400FPS so I had to run with a HK usp non blowback and I got 37 kills from just running. I have gotten better and we made our one field which is HUGE hope to see you guys again!!!

only problem with this is that the modified mask only covers the mouth, chin and base of the nose, the cheeks are not covered so if any bb's hit your cheek your molars might get shattered, so in short it may be more comfortable but its certainly not as safe.

Why would you use those scissors? It looks like you struggled to cut the top edge quite a bit. A pair of wire cutters or actual tin snips would have been a better choice to cut the wire mesh.
