I live 3,000 miles from New Zealand and don’t work in the trades. There is no rational explanation for why I love this channel as much as I do, it’s just so relaxing (and, of course, exciting).

My grandfather was a stone mason and I was a bricklayer and I worked for him and his two brothers and one of them had a great saying when people would ask the impossible .he look at me and say boy ! You probably know this by now, but the disclosure of gifts isn't just a NZ thing. KZfaq also requires that you mark the video as containing paid promotion if you are paid cash, given something you show off in the video, get a big discount on something you show, or a "long term loan" of equipment.

Why don't you hang the door the European way? Fit all the door linings first before plaster then after go round and swing all the doors, which was do you think is better?

I discovered your channel with episode 180. I began my DIY/woodworking journey during the Covid lockdown here in the States. Watching your channel among others, is what gave me that push to start my DIY/woodworking journey; I thought what do I have to lose? Since then I’ve updated my living room, dinging room, and kitchen, and I’ve come to love what I do and it’s great that I’ve picked up these dying skills. I remember hanging my first 7 foot set of custom French doors on a jamb I milled myself, the wobbly pop was mighty tasty that evening. I used a Lee Valley three hinge jig on that set and ever since. Beautiful work on the ceiling Pereau.
