How to Make a Folding Up Murphy Bed | PART 2

Күн бұрынThis is the final steps of building the horizontal Murphy Bed. In this video I wrap up building a Murphy Bed using the Create-A-Bed Murphy Bed Mechanism Hardware kit from Rockler Woodworking and Supply. This project went very smoothly and in my opinion is pretty cool. I have already started tossing around the idea of adding book shelves, a TV shelf and making it a built in wall unit.

Mike is a friend who used to be my next door neighbor. He is just learning about woodworking and has really started doing very well with his scrollsaw work. Now I have been showing him about other areas of woodworking.

The assembly and explanation was very good. I would have liked to see the installation of the pistons that allow the bed to open and close. GOOD JOB!!

I'm thinking that kit might be good for a small shop to hide tools away...like a Murphy Miter Saw Station. Just a thought. Nice job making something that seems complicated look easy Laney and Mike!

Has anyone ever asked if you are related to Denis Leary? :) Great video! I am looking for a the same style that would accommodate a Full mattress. My daughter wants Murphy/Wall bunk beds. I saw a similar design on Wildings Wall Beds. How can I make the top bunk to where it is not in need of legs for support and preferably without cables?
