You just demonstrated that there is no such thing as scrap in the workshop. They are just off-cuts waiting for the next project. These particular off-cuts found a very nice project. Useful too. Well presented. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂

GIG'EM! Fellow woodworker! Great idea & build. Am in the process of building out my dream workshop at this time. Been woodworking off & on since the '60's in garages, out in the driveway (pain in the a..!) & now in a 30x50x12 & I still want to have the ability to spread out but stay compact (w/o spending allot of setup/breakdown time)! Being an Aggie myself, and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, in the middle of your video I had the idea of making it fold out once again for a double-sized extension but fold up into about the same size as yours. Been looking for something along the kines of this idea! Thanks for your time & effort to make this video...one thing I haven't learned how to do.....yet!😊 ~Chris '75 👍

@laurikennedy314711 ай бұрын
You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzfaq.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

I bought this for my friend for his birthday as we just moved into a new house and he finally has room for a workshop. The bench was very easy to set up kzfaq.infoUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh They center support is a little difficult to snap in and out of place at first but at least then we know the bench is secure. It was a pleasant surprise when we saw it came with clamps. I apparently missed that in the description. My friend loves the versatility of the bench. Great starter bench for his workshop and easily transportable all over our property. I wish the bench was a little taller but the other features of the bench more than make up for that.

Laney, I have an old, hang out the back motor on my Grizzly saw, would you foresee any issues with making the mounting plate 12” wide instead of the 5-3/4 prescribed in the plans? I don’t see a problem.
@LaneyShaughnessy Жыл бұрын
No problem. This fold down table was originally designed for a saw with a motor hanging out the back. I believe in the original plans. If you can find them online or reference to them in the comments you may be able to see if that is true. But no I see no problem as long as it's rigid and true.

@iamburl2667 Жыл бұрын
Your doing an ok job but, your dealing with wood that no two boards measure the same, if your going to go into such detail you might as well plane each and every board to be exact , there is a so much faster way to build that table with out any jig or clamp, three hours tops to start to finish table complete. No one that comes to the bbq is going to say hey this boards off a sixteenth,. Pass the ribs lol

Just found your video as I am looking for tips as I start my first dart turning project. Any update from your friend on how he enjoyed or used his darts? Your video is very informative and I feel more confident to start. My fear though is that the lead wool will shift over time towards the front of the dart with use over time. My solution would be to add CA glue to prevent the lead wool from moving. I know weight will be an issue but it is kind of like finalizing the weight of a pinewood derby car.
@LaneyShaughnessy Жыл бұрын
This video was made many years ago, and I still use the darts made in the video. They for me are perfect flyers with just the right weight. I have changed flights many times over, but the darts still remain true.

I appreciate the video … I think it was just right in length because I’m fairly new to this and like knowing for sure that I understand what is going on. I watched 5 times trying to hear the bit height but I found in comments. I’m going to try it with my Bosh tabletop making a clamp on fence because the adjustment doesn’t go far enough for the longest cut so we will see. Gonna try the stop blocks too. Experience tells me I’m going to need them.
