Thank you so much. I have the kit also. I believe that those extra pieces are useless. lol. I am going to use pastllage for my next shoe. the recipe is. 1 pound 10x sugar 1 tablespoon tylose or cmc powder 1/4 cup of water. give it a try.

I enjoyed your tutorial. Sorry about your shoe collapsing. I hope your client was happy. I have the same kit. I purchased it three years ago. I love the shoe design, however, the instructions do not explain what the small pieces are for. I believe the small piece is for the bottom of the shoe to hold up the strap. My kit did not come with the bigger arched piece you have. I would rate this shoe kit a seven out of ten. The card stock templates should have been laminated and the instructions were lacking. I thought the value was decent compared to some of the other cake kits.. Lisa Mansour has a KZfaq video, however, she does not explain the purpose of all the shoe kit materials. I have a video of the shoe (Kate Spade inspired) on my KZfaq channel. It's not a tutorial, but I give my honest opinion about this shoe kit.
