Godzilla has been absent from gaming for a while and it this it's time we ask ourselves how we make a Godzilla game.

Godzilla is as relevant as it ever was. And they’re hitting every single market, not just in Japan but in America too. Comics, movies, TV shows, Anime, action figures, videogame crossovers, *EVERY SINGLE AVENUE EXCEPT GAMING!* It makes no sense. The game would make as much money right now as it ever will. The blockbuster fans are happy. The film fans are happy. Make the damn game.

There was a time where it did hit gaming. PS2, Wii, probably PC, Xbox. There was also a PS3/4 game that released around the time the 2014 film had released. That specific Godzilla game title is now $900 dollars and delisted as the devs lost the licenses. The problem? My guess is not just keeping the licensing but it’s just as hard to get a hold of certain licenses as it is to keep them for something like a game. JUMP Force is a great example of this as most people will say it was bad and that’s why it was delisted but in reality they lost most of the licensing for really expensive IP’s like Yugioh, to name one. If game companies could get a hold of the Godzilla IP/License then they would be able to make a game as long as they are able to acquire the license and get the green light. But Toho is a lot different now than it was back in the 1950s and 2000s unfortunately. While it would be nice to have a legitimate Godzilla game on consoles and PC’s that could, for example, include each kaiju as well as titan from the 50s to modern day it is highly unlikely but not entirely impossible. More likely to happen with roblox as seen with Kaiju Universe than any mainstream game company. But even KU isn’t entirely safe as it was taken down a while back and only recently is starting to make a potential comeback.

An open world Godzilla game would be the best in my opinion, you can change which era or version of Godzilla you are (similar to spider man open world games)

NGL been playing Godzilla unleashed Overhaul and it feels like a fresh pipeworks game they just don’t make them like they used to😭

Considering how in the current modern-day Godzilla is doing really well and nearly every market and I'm surprised if they haven't made any real attempts at video games Yes there are certain video games that they put out but they are very specific to different player bases Like for instance I love Godzilla Battle line but I know for a fact it's not everybody's cup of tea and I fully understand and agree with the fact that we need another Godzilla game in a different genre that would set the franchise better I also really hope that we get card games similar to what we've got in the past but more developed and with a bigger roster with it probably being inflated similarly to magic the gathering for Pokemon

I feel like a kinda spiderman 2 would do, like how in spiderman 2 you play as spiderman then you play as venom for a bit and you are just unstoppable. I feel like a game were you continuously switch between humans and Godzilla, trying to save Japan one minute and destroying it the next. Best of both worlds

Definitely no BR I can tell you that I think it would be best if the godzilla game got the old treatment but with the new monsters in the movies but also add the ones that haven't been in any movie yet as well.

Honestly that could be really good if it's well done Especially if different monsters could play different roles Play Even though mothra could fight she would definitely work as a buffs and healer type character In Godzilla while he is able to assist other characters would probably be more so based around battling a variety of different monsters
