Pipeworks and Atari want to remake their original trilogy of Godzilla games, but their waiting on Toho to greenlight it so they can get to work

So far, we’re literally getting GTA 6 before we’re getting a new Godzilla game..

Id say they should either officially endorse the Melee HD project to help get it out there or put together Gigabash and Pipeworks guys who are still interested onto a whole new game.

The Pipeworks games and Shadow of the Colossus were my favorite games as a child, I pray we get either a remaster or a new game entirely at the least announced this year.

A new destroy all monsters would be sweet

I would love play those games in my Nintendo switch (if Pipeworks plans to remake/remastered their games) because I didn't play save the earth and Destroy All Monsters Melee but I do play Unleashed so that was my first Godzilla video game I played so I would love to play Unleashed again in modern day and play it's prequels.

Always wanted to play the ps4 game, but never could, and now will never be able to. I hope they do make an actual good Godzilla games in the coming years.

I do want another Godzilla game; but I won’t lie and say that I prefer what Gigabash is offering. A possible hall of fame for Tokusatsu and Kaiju media with match ups that fans have been dying to see for decades! I honestly find that more exciting than just another Godzilla game; though I would still be hyped for that aswell. Just the fact you can be Godzilla and fight ULTRAMAN, and vice versa is just AMAZING; hopefully we get Gamera, Kong, and even maybe some more obscure movie Kaiju. That’s just wishful thinking though.

Not sure about everyone else but I would absolutely love a traditional 2d fighting game centered around godzilla, similar in gameplay to something like street fighter or guilty gear. Those recent games have been pretty popular. And taking into consideration with how much godzilla content we're getting and all the hype around it, I think it would be a match made in heaven.

I have two copies of this game. I personally love the game, but you can chalk that up to that being my first Godzilla game and my only Godzilla game for a consul.

Kaiju games on Roblox have good ideas for what a new Godzilla game could be. Like Kaiju Universe, Kaiju Arisen, Project Kaiju, etc. We could also have other monsters show up within the roster like Kong and Pacific Rim monsters. But I'm not sure how they could do it anyway because the Godzilla monster franchise already has so many throughout the films. Just an idea to think that's all.

There actually will be an officially licensed fan game, if your obsessed with rblx (like me) you'll know that one game got taken down by Toho called kaiju universe, they are coming back with the liscense very soon actually and so far, better models than most modern ps4 games now.

In my opinion, Pipeworks made the best Godzilla games so far. Godzilla: Save the Earth was my most fav out of all. It will be more perfect if they remake with the style and add more monsters.

Imagine a Pipework Godzilla Trilogy Remaster, damn that would be a dream come true.

Konami, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Square Enix, Square Enix, or SNK should publish a trilogy remaster of Pipeworks games and Pipeworks software can develop the remasters. And if a sequel was made one of these publishers can do it and have Pipeworks software develop it. Look at Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The official game of the movie as ideas having. To play as human and monster but keep the multiplayer aspects of the other games.

A Godzilla game Idea is a open world godzilla with a bunch of kaju and a multiplayer open world with a bunch of different maps

Why not make an online multi-player game of godzilla, kinda like path of Titans have 2 modes the ancient world and modern world

I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion, I but I prefer another Godzilla simulator game like Godzilla on PS4. I’m not big on the party zany fighting game as much since I prefer a game where the main goal is destroying the city and fighting the military.

Hey. I will tell you a secret try to look for for godzilla ps4 is much lower. I mean by 500 to 200 as ive seen. Just look to other countries.(so far only looked at brazil since I have connections but you can look at markets from other countries.) But still overpriced.

The monster action needs to be fast like the Pipeworks game to be successful. If they decide to slow the monsters to the level of the god awful PS4 game then we won’t see another Godzilla game for yet another decade.

If we do get a game, it shouldn't be a remaster. I'm sorry, but those old games suck. They're boring, formulaic, and they literally don't offer anything except monster brawling which has no replay value or substance to it. If they're going to make a new game for the Godzilla IP they have to move away from these bore fests that are the melee brawls and give us something with an actual story and some substance worth playing over and over and over again. You could argue the monster selection gives you replay value, but you're wrong. No matter which monster you pick the formula is the same: Enter level, reduce enemy HP to zero, move to next level. Rinse and repeat. That. Is. Fucking. BORING!! I don't care which monster we're using. It's fucking boring! Honestly, I want something new. Something with a gripping and emotional story, and with the human journey woven perfectly into the monster action. For example, we could play as a disgraced G Force member who was ousted for unknown reasons. A Monster war breaks out and the town we're living in is being decimated in the conflict. The opening cinematic is our character rushes home to warn his family, and he sees them gathered out front as the monsters get closer. He races towards them to scream for them to run but they're obliterated when Godzilla's heat ray arcs across the screen. The home, the family, the entire area is wiped leaving just our character. Godzilla is knocked down by whatever foe he's fighting, and when we gain control of the character our first task is to race under and around Godzilla and his limbs as he tries to stand up to continue fighting. Move the wrong way, his hand crushes you, or you're crushed under his foot. Move too early and he rolls over onto you. Move too late and his tail swipes you into oblivion as he turns around to resume fighting. After failing to protect his family our G Force member is forced to evacuate, but doing so requires him to find a working vehicle and GTFO! The next time we gain control we're in the driver's seat avoiding heat rays, monster limbs, falling debris, explosions, etc, racing for our lives to safety while the monsters continue battling it out. Once we escape our character calls an old contact in G Force asking to speak to someone in charge because he intends to get his job back. After doing so, we get our next mission which is to fly an escort for Godzilla as he approaches a new foe we haven't seen before out on an evacuated island off the coast of Osaka. We can fly freely, like in Ace Combat, and get as close to Godzilla as we dare. But if we get too close or hover around him too long he gets aggressive towards us and snaps at us, or may even fire his atomic breath at us. Hang back and let him do his thing and only shoot the enemy monster, which won't be easy to do because it's fast as fuck boy while Godzilla and it are fighting, and Godzilla won't try to kill you. The other monster will try if you come in close enough and Godzilla isn't close enough to interrupt it. Something like that would be infinitely more fun and replayable than the same old melee monster bullshit of the other games. I know a lot of fans are always screaming about "more monster action," but that's because they're immature spoiled brats who have forgotten, or never knew in the first place what the heart and soul of the Godzilla franchise even is. The heart of the franchise is humanity. Godzilla is a broken mirror reflecting our sins and atrocities against each other laid bare. When he's not a hero and not an "ally" of humanity is when he's at his best. Always has been. Always will be. Give me a game with actual substance. Not a mindless button mashing brawler that gets old after 10 minutes of doing the same thing over and over and over again.
