Headband found at the dollar tree. I had no luck finding any at this current time. but I am sure they are still available in some locations. I have also seen them at walmart.

Thank you SO much for this video!!! I needed to make a hair net for an Italian Renaissance gown, but after 2 tries I was frustrated and confused. It just wasn't working - I'd started at the center and due to bad increasing, it was less flat, or domed, and more shaped like a wonky pear. After watching your tutorial I was able to restart from the "band" (crocheting onto a giant zip tie tied into a circle, later replaced by ribbon) and work my way in! It turned out so much better than I'd expected. I was even able to work pearls into it as I went, one at each "junction." So thank you, for making this easy to understand and so achievable. You are wonderful!!

Thank you!!!! I’ve had bad luck with purchasing hairnets that fit properly for work. They fit but I also have to wear a hat over my hairnet at work, so I want to try and make my own that fits properly with a hat. This came out so pretty. ♥️♥️

love it. just to offer options. you can buy elastic at the fabric store in any width you choose. cut it at any length. sew the 2 ends together. make sure that it is flat when you connect them, no twists. buy it by the yard, very cheap.

This is true. But elastic is impossible to find right now. So in normal cases, yes elastic would work great.

Looks very nice. I’m going to do this because I have a lot of headbands. Well done and thank you for showing me how to crochet this. You are a very outgoing and articulate teacher. Funny too. 😊❤I did this snood a little longer because my hair is growing out. I must say it looks beautiful. I used Taupe. Some day I will do colorful ones like you did.

I recently started watching you. This turned up in my feed. I usually watch older videos, but I so need this! I'm fighting cancer for over 2 years now. The surgeries, treatments, and disease have destroyed my long, straight hair. I loved so. I don't get chemo, so I have not lost my hair. It just won't grow well and breaks like crazy. The short wild fine feathers as a call are so in my face and glasses. I need this to control it all! I found goodie brand headbands on Amazon for less than 3 dollars. Count is between 6-12 of them, I forgot the number. I'm not able to just drive to the store, so I ordered them. I have a credit from rewards and returns at c'mas time, so they are coming completely free! When I make a couple for me, then I will make one for my granddaughter. It may be tedious but will be a life saver. Thank you.

I'm always looking to find the most comfortable and efficient sleep cap for curly hair to retain curls and require less refreshing in the morning. I'm going to try making a snood with satin ribbon. I think instead of a hair band I will try using a piece of ribbon as the base. It can be tied/untied to put on. Size will be adjustable that way. And, it won't leave such an impression in the forehead if you wear it several hours. We'll see how it turns out.

@Csncelthis1223

Maybe you could get some elastic, sew it to the ribbon, leave about 5 inches of ribbon on both ends then you can have a little elastic support in the back but the adjustability of the ribbon being tied.

I really want to know how it turns out too. The thing I like about a ribbon draw string idea is you don't have to worry about the elastic wearing out and getting loose or breaking. But I don't know if it would stay in place while you sleep.

I love this! My hair is very long( to my waist) and thin. I always thought that it being long made it look thicker lol. But sleeping makes it a tangled mess, I toss and turn a lot. So I'll try this to keep my hair up when I sleep. I'm still going to get my daughter to cut it to mid back level. It's just to hot for summer, no matter how thin it is. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity!
