I do not see the point in this vid as is showing how NOT to make a helicopter. Not the slightest chance this would fly. It is built like a heavy duty tractor. Sheet steel body, steel girders for framework, cast iron car hub and that angle gearbox alone must have weighed 25 kilos - did it have oil in it. The translation was lost in parts too lol.

Well done bro but am not certain of how the helcopter will generate lift after all you haven't put a swash plate on the main rotor mast which responsible for changing pitch angle of the rotor blades which in return lift is generated

Have you ever seen a fix pitch heli . Back in the day about 50 years ago . Dang I am getting old . But back about 50 years ago most RC gas helicopters had fixed pitch main blades . Now these are RC like I said . And the engines was ether gas or glow fuel . Most of these engines was 2 strokes . So the RPM was much greater . The greater the RPM the greater the lift going to be . The movement forward , back , side to side comes from a tilting head . This operated on a simple swash plate . The tail rotors was varable pitch but not collective pitch . The heli can move forward and reverse and side ways then the tail rotor acts like a rudder . After wathing this video It's a bat and switch . This heli could never ever fly at any levels of the build .

You're going to kill someone with such instructions. That verticle "tube" from the output shaft could sheer and send blades flying. That portion should be a solid structure.

The one flying is not what you made shown in the vid..the one that you fabricate has no chance of flying it's underpowered.the materials are heavy.not suited for the purpose.

Hahahaha..........i wish you could luck with this one ! The only good thing here is that this contraption will luckily not leave mother earth to smash you eventually to the ground. Instead you reduction gear will break because it is to small , your induction gear will never withstand the torque from the rotor every one else use a BIG pully and a strong belt to drive the rotor. You are showing exactly hot NOT TO MAKE a helicopter. Also seems you did not even balance the rotor and also the metal you welded for bearing seat is not 100% round shape with means your bearings outer is not 100% round is going to wear out very very fast . You should make bearing seat from solid metal , ask n engineering works to drill a perfect round hole into it exactly the size off the bearing and then press it in.
