Heck yeah man, the 10 fin turbine sounds amazing! I'm going to order up the RDS 64mm drop in cartridge w/compressor housing soon and drop it in my LB7. Just what the Dr. ordered. Thanks for the LB7 content!

Fun to see a manual paired to a Duramax every once in a awhile. No limp mode for those owners, just “grenade time” if the clutch gives up! Lol! I (we) fight the same problems on the Tahoe from the salt in the winter! Uggggg! Hang in there Josh! 👍🏻

Great video. I have a 2008 LMM 3500HD dually with 92000 miles on it. It is stock and I mainly only use the truck to pull my 14,000 lb 5th wheel . Don't know if the turbo is having issues. Just doesn't seem to have the get up it use to. Seems like it hesitates some. I thought about changing turbo out. I do like the louder whistle sound. Would this just involve switching out the old for new or would I need to do anything else? Tune or whatever? Any advice/help would be appreciated. Thanks

Might be getting me one for my lb7... turbo took a crap and started pressurized the crank case .. blowing oil everywhere an scared me. Luckily it just the turbo..

Maybe you can help me with a question, I got a tuned 6.7 powerstroke and anytime I first drive it whether it’s cold or at temp I get negative main injection timing and then goes positive after about 10 minutes of driving, just curious about that?

Hey this may be a dumb question, but can I replace my turbo with a 64 mil, without any mods such as injectors etc? My thought is, if I upgrade my turbo, I'll need to upgrade internals to handle that extra HP. Thank you for your videos, you are awesome and any feedback would be appreciated!

I don’t think you need anything but a tuner to get the efficiency out of the turbo but if you’re going for 600 hp you’ll need upgrades to support it I.E. internals, trans, lift pump, injectors

Someone told me that the PPE boost valve can also make the turbo sound lauder not sure haven’t done it.

@@wipatriot510 I had it pick up, but then bleed back off after the system equalized. I could spike up to 30 psi, but then it would go back down to 25. I just deleted the wastegate altogether.

Performance and sound wise, how does this compare to the cheetah turbo from fleece performance? Obviously we lb7 want the most whistle and power for the $... and quicker spool.

Ryans Diesel also makes a drop in turbo cartridge for $875 (64mm) that you can drop into your stock turbo exhaust housing. I'm going to purchase one and do an install video on my channel here pretty soon.

Toss a 4” muffler right behind the cab starting towards the box. My lb7 sounds great and no drone in the cab

I have an lb7. The 4" MBRP w/ muff sounds great. The nice thing is there isn't much difference in price (about $20) between the muff vs straight pipe option so you can always take the muffler off and run a delete pipe. If you purchase the muffler as a stand alone its somewhere in the neighborhood of $60-$70.

If you end up with drone a flo-pro twister will solve that. Got rid of drone on my 6.7 Cummins with 5"..still have most of the turbo noise too. Put it right after the downpipe.

Diamond Eye makes a resonator to kill drone that clamps to the down pipe , still loud at throttle.
