Really liked the idea with the square punch to make an indentation where the prongs will be added to the outsides. Haven't seen that before. Otherwise I would really use a small lathe to cut off the tube sections. They really need to be square and the same length to 0.05 mm. I don't think a beginner can understand how difficult it is to get the necessary precision. Nice work.

I loved this and learned so much. The square stamping tool, brilliant. I am not familiar with line bracelets. Is the goal to have a slightly flexible bracelet but not have it be a link-like bracelet? I'm not quite sure how it can be soldered together so closely, still move and not create stress over time that will snap the wire (like a bread bag twist-tie). I'm so glad I subscribed, I want to learn these more advanced techniques! I wish there was a little bit of a description of what the line bracelet is, why it is called that, and the goal of the mechanisms. Kind of a bigger look at the idea before seeing the steps. But, it's all excellent. I am grateful for your time and generosity. I'll be watching everything you make.

Hello, great video, looks beautiful. One question, once you bend the wire round and sand the bottom, are you soldering them the wires to themselves? I know you cant solder it to the link as obviously the link would be stiff then and would be a bangle not a bracelet, but without soldering the wire to itself I cant see how constant movement over time of the bracelet wont make the wire come loose in time and separate
@jacothejeweller
@jacothejeweller 3 жыл бұрын
Hey, you just solder the link to the next tube. The looped area where the wire passes through allows for movement. Hope that makes sense. I might have explained it in the follow up video - have a look.

Great video, thank you !!! Just to be certain... in order to keep the flexibility between the elements, the folded rod should be welded only on the element linked to the rod, correct? If we weld on both elements, the whole line would be stiff, right? You may have specified it in the video but my English is not very good so I may not have understood... Thank you in advance for your answer.
