Robotshapers Is ir really working with this motor controller. Because it is described as a stepper motor controller. And is the Motor a brushed motor?

Yes absolutely working no doubt if you use stepper motor u must use uln2003 if & Arduino microcontroller this video without programming & microcontroller based

increase motor voltage or choose higher rpm geared motor , or try gearless motor normal voltage

It is very simple & explain in video you just calibrate your IR sensor becoz of light resistance values varies. We make 3000+ up to now

See in circuit diagram of line follower with ir. Ir sensor have 3pins +ve,-ve,&signal pin U just connect 1st Ir sensor signal pin to l293d pin no 2 & 2nd Ir sensor to l293d pin no 15 & +ve ,-ve same as common to all vcc & gnd. U can also buy it from given link & join Digital o/p pin to l293d
