Hi, will there be any heating problem? I used regular 2n3904. The circuit works if i dont put any limiting resistors ... but the transistor heats up significantly. How do i manage the heat? I am using a pre-assembled sensor board bought on Amazon. Is it safe to use the BD139 directly? Or should i use BD139 in darlington pair mode?

Can i use in4007 diode instead of you mentioned....? This is really great idea...

I still can't make the circuit work. I used BD139, and 100k fixed resistor instead of potentiometer. The rest is the same in the video. What could be the problem?
