Actually you used proximity sensor over there,but how can you run it as line follower... And also there is current flow only when some objects starts ,then the motor starts rotating... how did u do that....

Both the negative terminal of motor your connecting to opposite of output of the sensor and the positive to Vcc pin right please reply

My ir sensor has 3 pins named data vcc and gnd. When i provide -ive to gnd and +ive to vcc the infrared sensor starts to emitte ir light (seen through camera) but dosen't flash the red light as it does in your video. Also after connecting data pin to inp 1 vcc to +ive and gnd to -ive. My robot dosen't dollow any line. Please help

More or less both works with the same speed, My go is for IR , I feel its bit faster than LDR and LED combination

You can use it, but the accuracy lies on the following line thickness, if its thin line robot cannot follow it due the time taken to control those motors. For faster motor its always advisable to use it with microcontroller

If you use 60 rpm motor and a 9v power supply. Yeah it will work. It just a basic tutorial to get start with don't expect the robot to follow like a pro.

+deepak gupta can u tell how the sensors are sensing only the black line?all the connections are made by triple checking nd still it doesn't work out because this model shows none of the robotic principles

hi Sharang guliani hope i am clear :) When any sensor among the 2 comes to a black line(in any turns),the motor connected to that sensor stops(which is obvious).Now since one motor stopped and other one is rotating the linear motion of robot change to rotatory motion(**you may say it is an analogy to one end fixed and the other part is moving which is what makes a circle**) This takes the robot out of black line after this umm shift in position the sensor which was off become on again and since in this state both the motor are working ,the robot starts it linear motion again
