It could really be either. If you examine the artwork it's pretty hard to tell. Chainmail is definitely the ideal if you can get a hold of it.

Yah it is for sure chainmail...but obviously who in the hell can get their hands on that stuff lol....so I get where you're coming from about the burlap...little more practical yet same effect :)
