hi, if you were to add a hammered finish would you do the hammered finish first or after the stamped letters? many thanks lovey video

I'd suggest stamping the letters first and then doing the hammered finish. It'll be easiest to achieve deep and even lettering when the metal is flat and untextured.

Regrettably, we do not have this bangle in a smaller size. The blanks are 14 gauge in thickness, so you would need cutters that could cut up to 14 gauge material. Thank you.

We don't have any tutorials on how to get that style unfortunately. The wires we carry are a little too thin for that look, and to get it really solid you'd probably want to temper the wire with heat treatments so it's a bit more advanced than the metal working we specialize in.

6" blank too small for a 7" wrist bracelet. I've tried it. Doesn't work. Uncomfortable. I wish they'd make longer blanks.

My letters are not marked on the side. It is hard to know which letter you are using and if it is going in the right direction.

We used to have a kit like that from another company. Definitely recommend labeling each stamp with a bit of tape and a pen, it helps speed work up even more than you'd think.

is annealing necessary? I'm a beginner and am using somewhat thicker bracelets. I saw something recently I'm supposed to heat it up first to make it easier to stamp. i don't have any tools for that process and honestly wanted to avoid it. Well maybe the bigger question is I'm getting confused which gauge to buy (making bracelets primarily). I'm using copper, aluminum, maybe others down the line. I'm currently using 14 gauge and it is rather difficult to stamp than other blanks I've used. Is thicker gauge necessarily more long-lasting? I mean, it's metal after all.

With blanks like the ones on our website, we do not feel heating is necessary. The particular blanks in the video are made of aluminum, which is easy to stamp. These blanks are actually 14 gauge, but stamping thinner blanks is usually easier. Most of our pendant blanks are 24 gauge for example. Thicker gauges do not necessarily mean the metal will last longer, but they are less malleable than thinner gauges. Thanks for watching!
