Great job! If your budget is tight you can make a duct-tape dummy torso instead using a mannequin. Just grab a friend, wrap their torso in plastic wrap, then wrap them again in duct-tape. Cut it off them and tape it back together. Cheap torso and fun bonding moment for loved ones!

Great idea, I tried this once before and it's fun... I suppose you would just need to make the support out of wood and run it through the body so you have something firm to attach the arms to.

So happy I seen this posted by another haunter. I love it. I am almost sure I have everything I need to make this except for the hands. I love how you said you will cover it in monster mud. I might be brave enough to do this now. Thank you for sharing.

Hi how do I turn craft centre plastic skeletons into (portable) death angels?!? It's their biggest wish in life you see...
@Medammit8 жыл бұрын
I would try draping them in burlap soaked in monster mud [plaster paint combination] to give them a grim reaper effect. +DreamStalker2

Question: Where did you find the hands? I can't find any like it anywhere online! The hands I find are all positioned wrong =/. I thought of maybe using one of those hand mold kit things to make them myself, but then realized that they might be too heavy =/.
@Medammit8 жыл бұрын
I was lucky enough to find them on craigslist, someone had bought a bunch for an art project. But typing in mannequin hands online I see a few that look like they could work. +TheNdfan1993

How much money did the supplies cost altogether for you? Also how long did it take you?

How long did it take you to do this? I want to make one over thanksgiving break (maybe Christmas break too) and I want it to be done by the time the art show comes around in March. It took me ten or eleven months to come up with Hammond's cane from Jurassic Park, but I want this one done quickly. Thanks.
@Medammit8 жыл бұрын
It took me about two weeks of casually doing it. The monster mud makes it fast and easy. +MammothProductionInc

Storage?? Forget that, put it in the corner of a room or make it a focal point... ha I have a Robot Costume I made this year and I plan to make a frame to put it on and have it in the corner of the Bedroom so when I bring guys home it creeps them out a bit... lol Great tutorial - This can work for many different kinds of statues or props
