another way is doing it realisticly (crashing a high speed planet with a grazing shot at another planet, it will form rings and if you're lucky a small moon but its harder then your method)

There's a tool that pushes and pulls, I just used that to push against it's movement.

When your doing the rotate thing it has a mode that others also do. It can reverse spin.
