I disagree. If you buy a used product, it's yours and you can do whatever you want with it. We already have quite a few copies of old games like these in museums and the like, for newer generations to look at and possibly play. The concept of committing a grave mistake by not preserving every copy of an old video game is completely irrational.

@@8bitbubsy Obviously I was joking, sure that you can do wherever you want with your property. Of course, if you can achieve the same identical result spending less money and without destroying an object that is now rare it would be better for all, and that's not irrational at all.

@@LucaBlightOfHighland I agree on that, it would be much better to use something else than a copy of Zelda to do it, but my point was that some people think you are doing something absolutely horrible by breaking a copy of an old video game that was sold in units of millions. :)

@@8bitbubsy true, however since he's doing it on KZfaq chances are it would negatively impact his reputation if he destroyed original Zelda cartridges. Just look at the backlash the 8-Bit guy got when he damaged a retro computer by trying to short the power supply with the paper clip.

“Why don’t you just buy a Zelda cartridge?” Alright mr moneybags. Firstly it would be sacrilege to ruin a Zelda cartridge and secondly £40+ is just insane for this project when you can spend a little time and a fraction of the price to make it.

Question, do you think that PCB board will fit in the Nintendo World Championships NES edition gold cartridge? I just watched a video on KZfaq where a content creator opened up the cartridge to see what was on the inside and it looks like a PCB board will fit in there, I just need the ROMs uploaded to where it can work on my NES. Could you do that? And then sell me one?

You can make a NWC cartridge but it won’t be a NWC cartridge as they are pretty much accounted for and documented as to who has a legit copy.

I had a grey cart when I was younger. Didn't understand what it was until I was older but when I was at school one day my mom gave away all my NES stuff I received when my father passed away. He was a collector so it was a very nice lot. The person that received it ended up trading it for about $60 worth of drugs I found out later

Elliot this is legitimately terrible. I'm usually a big fan of your content but... You didn't "make" an NWC cart here, you could have followed the instructions on the kit and have done that! this is way worse 😂
