Hi, In this I will show you how to make a paracord dog leash using the cobra weave. This is a very sturdy leash, you could add extra 'D' rings along the leash to make it adjustable.

Great tutorial. I’ve been making mine like this for years now with a trigger handle and tucked ends. If you tuck your end cord in like you do here you actually don’t need to singe them. It looks much better without the singed ends. A friend has a lead I made for her which is coming up to 8 years and the ends never come out. I also tuck ends in on collars rather than snip and singe, and again they’ve lasted years and look much neater.

Hi, that's awesome. I agree the singed end doesn't look as nice, but it it's just personal preferece for me to singe for that a little extra security.

Can this leash be made with a shock cord inside the weave?

Thank you for the great video! I've been trying to make these leashes and can't seem to get 1 thing right. By the time I get to the end, the 2 middle strands are soooo much longer than the outer strands. Is this how it's supposed to be or am I missing a step somewhere? Thanks

I want to make a tie out rope for my dog. I have 3 of the 100 for long sections. How long will my final rope be, and how can I connect all 3 together to make one long rope

Hi, you can use the 'one foot per one inch in length' measurement to calculate you cord, you can clip trigger hooks into each other if you are joining leashes together

Hi if I want to make a meter long leash do I need to use 40ft of cord? Sorry I'm just struggling to understand the calculations many thanks.

Hi, yes that's correct. For every one inch in leash length, you'll need one foot of cord😊

For a 6' lead would need 72' of cord? How many inches would I add for the handle? I totally love this leash!💕

Hi! If you want your leash measurement to end to at the base of your handle (6ft leash + handle) then another one foot to your calculations (7ft total) as the handle takes up one foot of the completed leash😊 Hope that makes sense. Let me know how it goes😀

I suck at math and can't figure this out, 1 ft of cord for 1in of length, but is that taking any the cord already folding in half, how much cord do I need for 5-6 ft leash, I don't understand

Hi, it means for every one inch in the made weave (eg. one inch of the leash) you'll need one foot of cord. You'll have leftover over cord by the end of the braid but I like to add a couple extra feet since its better to have too much than not enough.

So confused. First desired length is the length between the two hooks, then "should look like this" and the desired length is show again without hooks after adding the hooks. What?!
