Thank you, Kevin! Just reshaped my open road last night, was a little more imposing with the original crown than I'd like (I often wear a stratoliner). I anticipate I'll get a lot more wear out of it now with the new crown shape. If anyone is considering this, I just used a clothes steamer. Worked like a charm!

I wore something like a gambler hat fhroughout the 1970s. It was an old, black felt cowboy hat that was giving to my cousin and my cousin gave it to my younger brother. My younger brother shaped it in the bathtub and later gave it to me. It had a completely flat brim and a wide moat telescope moat on the top and it had a red white and blue hatband. When the tv show Billy Jack came out, many thought it resemble Billy Jack's hat even though his had an open crown and the band was mostly blue and white with just a touch of red. People started calling me Billy Jack a lot and I still use the nickname today. I literally wore that hat out.
