I have the 100x El Presidente and the 1000x Diamante. There is a big difference between the two of them. 1000x is a lot more smooth and feels a lot better. Both very well made.

Kevin am I your only customer/friend that wants my pinches exactly equal on both sides. What I do is, take the hat and rest it on my chest and each take each thumb to make the pinches and my center crease straight by using a ruler.

I just look at it from a Birds Eye view. Put the hat in the table with the front pointing away from you. And look at it from above, that’s usually good enough. But sure, why not? Use a ruler. I never tried that, but I don’t see the harm. I’m a believer that a pinch doesn’t have to be worn perfectly centered, or even, I like it a little off..but yes, they should start out that way when the hat is new.

Great instructional video Kev. who was that who slide across the screen a couple of times? always good 🎸 strumming! question, on some older b&w shows like the original Outer Limits & The Twilight Zone i've seen a lot of men wearing stingy brim Fedoras with the ribbon in the back of the had as in centered in the back of the hat. have you seen that before? when was that popular and why did it go away? 🤔 i ask because i've never seen that before. if anybody knows the answer, it's gonna be My Mans Special K! 🤣😉

Yes, that’s called a Back Bow. It’s a style used more on Porkpies, but yes, it could be easily done with my hat company,KTG Hats, but I don’t know how many people would actually like it though…not a bad idea. Thx for the inspiration

I got a Jaxson grade 8 Panama last Summer and love it and wear it on sunny days. I now have 11 hats as of Monday. I got a black cowboy hat with boots then. I own 2 Akubras and 2 Stetsons plus baseball caps. I never got outside without a hat.

I think if you’re going to get a straw hat it’s important that it looks good and is made well enough to last a while. I don’t think it’s a throwaway type hat. I’m very impressed with the excellent weaving of the hats you are selling. My father’s hobby was making New England Lightship Baskets 🧺 and he was a well known artist, self taught. I know a lot about various fine handicrafts and appreciate good work. The madras Newsboy cap was my favorite 🤩. I have always loved madras plaids. Your new work space looks good. Nice official working light 💡 in your favorite color 💚! 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵💚

Another good one from Kev! Kev my Bogarts I got from a certain place you worked before and haven't bought since, the colors turned on me. The blue turned into a kind of purple, and the gray did too! I can't call them blue and gray anymore and frankly, don't really like it. Had you heard this from anyone else?

Yes, the colored bogarts were notorious for doing that, the blue turned purple and the grey turned pink. That hat is being phased out now, I believe,and the Mario is taking its place

They make a fine product..they really make THE classic Panama shape, the Panama Fedora and the Mario are gorgeous, I used to love the bogart until I tried the Mario, which is just a tad nicer version of the same thing, in a way.

Could you do a video on, or contain it in another video, the measurements of the front and rear of the crown and of the brim? I, personally, like the teardrop or diamond-shaped crown whose front is higher than the rear.

@@serennosquadcast8297I’m hoping that less distractions onscreen will look better in the long run. I have some lighting coming too, to make the wall in back illuminated in some subtle colors too. Just a chair and a little work table should be enough

Yeah, that’s a classic. Only some shops still order it, that hat is officially discontinued, it’s like a whippet with a raw edge. KTG HATS makes the same hat! Called The NOSTALGIA, exact same specs

I have a felt fedora which I changed back to an open crown. I love a low open crown, large brim turned up about 1/2 at the brims edge!
