How to make a quilted bowl cosy/cozy

I’ve made hundreds as gifts and stocking stuffers. I made a cardboard template from a cereal box that allows me to draw the darts on each fabric half after the corner to corner stitch is made. So much easier than measuring and marking each 4 darts otherwise everything else shown in your video is the same. Add a matching fabric loop. I make the Coozies in different sizes and matching fabrics for those people who want them to coincide with their cooking and serving dishes! Big bowls need protection too!

I finally watched a different video and found that the seam allowance is 1/4 inch and top stitch once turned inside out is 1/8 along the entire edge of bowl closing the opening.

Consider using chop sticks when pushing out the corners. Simple and not sharp. Scissors could cut fabric. Great tutorial. Making Christmas gifts 🎁.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for the very easy instructions! I don't sew so this tutorial is exactly what I needed! Making for my grown kids for Christmas because we are all gathering in Colorado so I don't want to take anything bulky that i have to check. Fabrics I picked are in motifs that relate to each of their personalities. Now I'm excited to make them. Not so much before finding this tutorial.

I just got one of these yesterday from a friend! What a great idea! And so easy! Thanks for a fantastic, easy-to-follow video. I think they would be great for serving bowls at the dinner table too! I'm going to experiment to make bigger ones! In the meantime, no more burning my fingers when I lift a bowl out of the microwave! :)
