I'm pretty much starting from 0 got myself iMac and Logic, after I tired of playing with GarageBand on my phone lol It's pretty interesting to follow along with your tutorials, instead of some other people claiming their stuff as tutorials and all you see is them sitting in the chair doing the beat from a side without any understanding what's really going on.

Nice tutorial @CJBeatz. Couple quick questions pertaining to the drums and percs. 1. Whenever you were doing the flam technique on the toms, what was the key command you were using to make the note velocity slide upwards at even increments when the green line appeared? 2. Were those stock EXS24 toms and how much did you pitch them up or down to fit the key of this beat? 3. Can we please get an in depth tutorial that covers the Scale Quantize feature in Logic and how we can utilize it like the FL users?

thanks bro! 1. No key command, I just clicked and dragged the mouse in the volume area of the piano roll to change the velocity of each midi note. 2. Not stock toms, got them from some kit or sampled them from somewhere can't recall...I actually didn't pitch them, because they already seemed to work the way they sounded. 3. Good idea bro, long over due! i'll add it to the list!!

How come your brush tool produces larger notes? When you use your brush it creates a half bar note, but when i do it its only a quarter bar note if that makes sense.

No, best to download some or to sample one, you can probably find some good ones on youtube. Just put it in the EX24 Sampler.

None None If you don't like the sound, then it is possible to create an 808 in the ES2 synth, it has a good sound and can be easily manipulated to a desired sound.
