Hello everyone, today I am sharing how to sew a bag pattern free, this video is about how I made my rucksack without a pattern and using only scrap fabrics. Love your rucksack. Making a bag fit for your purpose is so much better than searching for one in the shops. I am making a bag for a friend's knitting with all the features she wants as a gift.

Hi Dianne, this was really helpful as I’m about to embark on a backpack! I did buy a pattern but I loved seeing how you made your own straps as I was worried webbing ones might be uncomfortable. I may add padding ovals like I’ve seen on kids rucksacks if they are but it’s good to have a few options to choose from! Your finished bag is just brilliant, well done 😊
