Well done, organized and succinct.

The tip about accidentally forming a nail mark in your slab by applying/smoothing out extra clay is extremely useful. I, being fairly clumsy, will probably use this often! Hopefully, not too often. -Sam Rivera

This video reminded me of the importance of reinforcing the walls so they don't curl inwards and remain rigid throughout the building process.

Taking a damp sponge to remove any excess clay crumbs helps to avoid sharp, dry bumps that can cut you.

An important step is to make sure the sticks are the same size when rolling out the slabs because if not the slabs will be uneven and the box will be lopsided

One reminder that is important in this video is to always coil the two pieces together so that they are sturdy and you know that the walls will not collapse. Another good reminder in this video is that the walls from a slab box need to be leather hard before working so that they will not fall over or ruin your work.

When I do this the clay dips in in the middle of every slab? Why does this happen? Help would be appreciated 😁😁

Clay has a sort of “muscle memory”. So, if you have bent it while handling it, it can warp. An uneven thickness or rapid drying can also cause warping.

one important thing in this video is cutting your pieces. you need to know how many and what size. size is important and matters when making a symmetrical box.

Came here to ask this too. She said knob should be hollow but doesn’t look like it is

I thought if you make the knob hollow then attach it to the lid, you are actually creating an air bubble. This is the only part I do not agree with. It doesn't seem to make sense

@@marynixon687 If it's more than half an inch thick, then making the knob hollow is crucial in order for the project to not explode in the kiln. What she didn't mention is that you should put a hole in the slab that the knob is attaching to, which eliminates the air bubble that a hollow knob would've created. Hope this helps!
