In this video, I'm sharing How To Make a Slow Stitch Book Sleeve. This is Part 1 where we will be using the Stack and Whack method to make patchwork blocks for our base.
If you have never tried patchwork before, this method is a great starting point. The fabric does the work for you and you can barely go wrong. There is almost no waste, and everything is guaranteed to fit together. I am not even worrying about seam allowance, because this will be a raw-edge panel. It couldn't be easier!
Look out for part 2 when I will start the embellishing and slow stitching process.
If you want to stitch along, you will need:
60x35cm (24" x 14") Batting, felt, blanket or other padding fabric.
9x 14x14 cm (5 1/2") squares of fabric
tacking cotton
Needle
Pins
Cutting mat
Rotary cutter or scissors.
