Thank you this was very helpful. I have a box of parts and I fussed with them most of the afternoon. I have a 60mm f700mm with a meade 25mm eyepiece I got for ten bucks at the thrift store. I just couldn't focus it - until I saw your video. When back to it right away and couldn't believe image -It's Huge! At night I've done this with the moon but the image was small. I believe I can get better focus if I use smoother paper. I will try a piece of painted glass, photo paper and a plastic diffuser.

How do you get a sharp focus?

if i look at the transit for 2 seconds will i get eye damage
