In this tutorial I show how to make the basics of a Spleef game where the tiles under your feet will disappear and you fall. This is done all in verse other than the hex tile, which was made in Blender.

there are a few people that have already done it. It's janky atm with the fixed camera and nothing is perfect yet. Epic is working on a first person camera though.

I put the hexagons in a map that is already published. The map is a Lego map with 5 minigames. Whenever you teleport to the other minigames it works fine, but when you teleport to the hexagon minigame it has a 50% chance to kick you out of the map. In multiplayer most players are kicked out and one stays. There are 4000 hexagons in the device. I bet it is a server issue with having 4000 hexagons in one verse device, but I'm not fully sure.

ya, that's a lot, probably is acting like an infinite loop. Need a Sleep(0.1) in there sometimes.

Hey! I am making a Fortnite map with new mechanics for pre existing Fortnite weapons. So I am wondering, is there anyway I can change the fire rate of certain weapons and not others?

Thanks man nice video. Can you do next a UI Damage counter for objects which is connected with a prop manipulator. I just wanna count how much damage i make or how much i need to destroy an object with it. Show on ui or just show cutom on the object. would be really nice

Hi! is it possible to rotate an image with code? like 90 degrees? because i have a ranked system and would want to rotate the progress bar vertically

you have to use materials, with a material parameter collection and a sequence to animate that

Hi Graeme, enjoying the videos and learning loads. Can you make a video on how to change the maximum 100 rounds to 1000 rounds? I have seen 999 and 1000 rounds on some Box Fights maps. Cheers

I can do that soon I think. There are two ways to do this otherwise, the easiest is to show a HUD device with an image in it that fits the screen.

Hey could you please make a tutorial on how to properly set up the multiplayer in verse like I had created a code to assign a wildlife to the player but it works fine in single player but does not work in multiplayer so could you please guide me with that?

Hi Graeme, I loved your videos, I've a question regarding one of my queries: that I've created my custom verse device but it is activating as soon as the game starts, i want to manually enable it in the middle of the game via popup dialog box or a button and also disable it, how can i do it? If you could help...

Do you think there is a way I can track each players Playtime on my map and extract the data separately for me (So I can see this stat and add it to a website or discord server). No, there's no way to do this at this time. You can only get analytics from the web portal for your game on Epic's site.

@@GraemeBull Is there like a list with all the stats you are able to see and read? Cause some maps have leaderboards and that means that they can access some data somehow.

First of love your vids, you are my fav on UEFN content... I was wondering how you would detect on which tile someone is, love the pragmatic brute force approach, too bad we don't have a collision event here 😅 Does the radius you are using (D

Thanks! Yes, it can create either an overlap (which you don't want) or a gap (which is minimal in this case). A trigger or volume could be good but it comes with so much overhead of the full device. I think it's lighter to do it this way but it can be improved on for sure.

Hey, perhaps u know whether when u call to get translational coordinates for any object, does it return precise coordinates where that object pivot point is, or is it just "middle" point for that object or something else? Thanks

It's the pivot point of the object, which can be changed in modeling mode if need be

You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. Somebody in the discord server sent a request on how to build this mech, I remember there being hex tiles but that's about it. Not my idea :) just showing how to do it
