I was going to build a steel spring loaded bow that is very similar. Yours came out great and it seems very powerful. Once those springs get worked in it should fire better great job.

Looks like an absolutely great design I’ve never seen one like that before but you should consider smaller springs when you extend your arm your arm isn’t fully extended in the springs are fully extended pawn some smaller ones so you can make it even tighter and heavier on force and speed

You can see the first arrows were shot from far and did a curve, while the ones which hitted the cans were straight. Guess they were shot at a low range, Yet was a good vídeo

Next time you make this , bring the bottom of the springs down close to the riser as close as you can & cut off a inch & a half of the spring , you,ll be surprised how much power you,ll have & how much smoother it will be . It’s not my thing , I rather have a recurve that’s nice & quiet with leather on the shelf & side of the riser that way you cant hear me draw the arrow back or it take off from the shelf .

Why don't you just make it out of wood with not as much bow. Then put a single spring joining the line not being used to fire the arrow. It would be just as strong much lighter and a million times better. it would also look good. You could even use a piece of aluminium tubing with roller blade wheels.

What is the point of this ? Very short draw length, weighs a ton. ? A simple wood bow is much simpler , lighter , and more powerful.
