I made this wire tree for my friend as a birthday gift, as such, I put it in a pot to be used as décor, but it's a great tree for D&D, wargaming, diorama's and more! Plus it's easy to make!

That is beautiful work. I haven't made a tree in ages. I've always thought it wasn't worth the time it took to make them, but this video has inspired me to give it another try. This is definitely much, much better than the technique I was previously taught.

Yeah the hot glue works out really well for the bark, It's durable, flexible, and easy to shape with hot tools!

I tried your glue technique today, I love it. I will be using it often. At the risk of being thought of as lazy, I did omit the painting step. I used black and brown glue sticks instead. Thanks for the tutorial.

I've not only bought a few cheap trees like this from China that look terrible, but seen other KZfaqrs doing this. Yours is way better. At the end I was imaging what the tree would look like with florescent paint as it gave a glow from absorbed light or from phosphorescent paint from blacklights. Either would a quite haunting appearance. Probably also alter other colors like your pink flock. 😊
