The math is fun. 5,400 miles per 1 hour = 5,400 miles per 3,600 seconds or 600 rounds 28,512,000 ft = 5,400 mi 28,512,000 ft = 5,702,400 5-foot squares If an hour is 600 rounds, we need to divide both by 600 to get the unit-rate of 9,504 grid squares (or the amount of space a peasant takes-up) passing an object to the next person in a row to reach railgun muzzle velocity.

But the damage roll is restrain by the weapon, so it doesn't matter the velocity just if you have the requirements yo wield the weapon and if it hit in the D20

You could argue it both ways, rules versus IRL physics. It sounds like some great rules lawyering to me, especially in the earlier days before 5e.

@@RichMerry not really. You can either be a rule’s literalist, or argue from what’s logical in realistic physics. If you go with real world logic, you can’t pass the spear that fast. If you go with rules as written, it only deals 1d6 damage. You can pick which way you want to interpret the rules, but either way the peasant railgun fails
