how to make a very simple Infra Red IR proximity sensor for Robots

Here I have shown a very simple IR circuit to make proximity sensor to detect an object. I can be use it robotics. Also you can fit this circuit in a small box with a buzzer and use it as burglar alarm. This circuit will be used in some upcoming robotics projects.

yeah, it actually look simple but in most of ur videos which I consider as one the best and easiest proximity sensors videos U never really took time to carefully -show the schematic and also explains step by step details. But the same U are a genius...a rare one. Pls upload a detailed well explained one...pls

yes fine ,but circuits with photodiodes will depend always from the ambient light they receive.

***** thanks that you will.. Ok I will study how to read schematic diagrams... I have a question, is it possible to use a three IR sensor ., one in front ,one in left and one in right side of a robot.. the purpose is when the sensor sense that there is a wall in front and its left side , the robot will turn right side and when a robot sense that there is a wall in its front and right side the robot will turn left and lastly when the sensor sense that there are walls in its left, front and right sides the robot will turn 180 degrees so it will able to go back if its dead end.. hahaha.. wish you can able to make a circuit that will have that function... thanks..

When i take my hand over the sensor, led dims instead of glowing. Also i used bd139 but it isn't driving the motor

Hey, do you know how the sunlight (or fluorescent bulbs) can influence in the circuit? I've been testing around these suspicious environments and the polarity of the IR sensor seems to be inverted. That's weird.

mosfet is a lot better cos it generates more voltage than a transistor.

yeah its possible,but d sensor may not be able to sense either nearer of farther objects since it cabe fine tuned-thats the work of the potentiometer
