The reason for the late night upload is because starting early tomorrow morning I will have no connection to he outside world for almost a week so better late than...later. Finding an art style is a lot harder than it looks. Here's a useful tip for finding an art style that suits you: Find others' works that you find appealing to look at and think "Just what is it that makes me enjoy this persons artwork so much?" It could be the color schemes they use, the thickness of their lining, the way the characters' faces look, the shading, etc. Now practice interpreting what you enjoy from their work into your own drawings. I'm not saying you should copy them exactly but feel free to be inspired and try practicing the look for yourself. Once you're used to trying out that way of sketching, be inspired again by another artist and interpret what you enjoy about their work and add it to the style you're already working on (and so forth). Keep in mind that this is only the first step in finding your style. It takes practice and patience to really grow from there and to create a form of art to call your own. Also it helps to know basic body anatomy and volume before working on a style. When you already know how to draw in any body form, it's a lot easier to create a character in any style and not have it look so awkward.

bro or girl you need to relax and make a script for your comics or webcomics and just imagine there just like a wattpad or some kind of thing that you never wanted to know about and if you want to make your own oc you need to make your own script...(crazy staff)

Hey my son who is turning 9, is really into drawing and making his own comics. He has been making them on A4 pages and then tapes them together to give to his teacher or as birthday presents, which i think is cute (but I’m biased lol). I know he watches a lot of videos in this style. I am looking for some advice on software etc on how to help him do these kinds of videos or comics. His birthday is at the end of august and i have a touch screen pc i was going to give him or i could get him a new tablet. I have no idea where to start. I found drawing stick men and even tracing over lines a struggle, so my artistic ability and knowledge is next to none. I would be extremely grateful of any advice.

Okay let's go, a great free of price drawing and webcomic creating software to use is a program called "Medibang" It's a very easy accessible, and well known amongst the art community so he may know it if. It is harder to use on a laptop in my experience but many people do so, on a phone or tablet may be better but perhaps for the future, (doesn't have to be fancy just any touch screen tablet/ipad). Or, there is paint tool sai, a bit more complicated but very useful once you know the basics of it. You do have to pay for using the actual software, (he could try it on a 30 day free trial). There is also a program he may already know of, it's very well known "Ibis paint x" For free. It's a great app for getting into art. Not so sure put comics but it is possible. If you want to get it on a pc or computer, you will get a virus unless you get it on "blue stacks". (Will protect from viruses and you can have apps and games on the blue stacks software.) If you get paint tool sai, or Ibis paint I'd recommend a phone or touch screen tablet of some kind. (If he already has one that's great.) Hope this was helpful if you have any other questions or something I need to clarify just let me know.

@@heidiforeman3827 I don't think a child that young would need all that currently maybe once he becomes a teen. For now any tablet that works with a good pen if fine even the basic 329$ ipad, plus a free comic/drawing app would be great for a 9 year old.

Thank you SO much. I realized I didn't have to make amazing, detailed drawings. The ones you did on that screen, those were pretty easy to make (don't worry, I won't copy and die in the webcomics world). I really want to make a comic based on three superheroes. Answer: 1. Be good at drawing 2. Preferably digital art, will be easier for you in the long run 3. Have an easy on the eye but also unique art stile 4. Have good imagination 5. Have good writing and directing skills. Directing is important. 6. Get equipment. U can find cheap but good tablets by wacom, they come with drawing apps so that's a plus 7. Start drawing ur webtoon 8. You are gonna fail a lot jn the beginning. Dont be afraid to scratch that first chapter and start again 9. Draw more than one chapters before you start publishing. U dont want your NEW fans to have to wait too long. You ll be slow in the beginning. 10. Remember, you need a good and original idea. But also try to give your reader a bit of what they want. Not roo much tho. Fan service is annoying when its recognisable. Your story needs to be yours and not your readers'. Take risks 11.you will be needing a lot of free time, and pull some all nighters. So good luck

Really depends on your demographic, if you've got a trashy audience (usually nine year olds, "wow ur so talented", and so on) then just accept your fate I suppose.
