There's something about wiring that just freaks people out. I think many people who learned about cars from their dads, or older mentors, were warned never to mess with the wiring.

question, where do you get your wire, is it all copper?

Even my supplier for wire is on Amazon now, and they’re currently sold out of all copper wire. Click the link in the description, and it’ll send you to the blog post that has the full Amazon list of what’s in the video 👍

Dope work man, I like to stagger the wire cuts/junction so there isn’t a big area in one spot. This way the thickness stays consistent.

Hey Big Chris, I have a question for you. I like what you did with the European GTR tails, the PCBs in the center of the taillight halos with the Bicolor LEDs wired to sequence for amber signals and cold reverse light. I'm just curious, did you use the CorsoMotion Prototype pcb boards to make that? The LEDs... are they like .5 Watt 3030 or 5050 bicolor white/amber or something else? I really like what you did with that and want to use the same process for other projects. Not trying to jack your GTR steeze... those are alll you and you're the best at it in the field. Not sure if in another video you already explained the process, but could you share that technique with me man? Love you bro you're the shit. You were my motivation to start doing custom lights, I've learned A LOT from you and for that I thank you bro.

Thank you for the video, you made it so simple to understand and follow. Nice to see other peoples take of this even when if it's just a recap to what you already know. Big up, from the UK

haha, dude, I make so many of these videos just to catalog something I know or that I do often, so I can remember how to do it later. This one not so much, but the recap thing is often times for future me 😅

Also you should check into Tesa tape. Better for under an engine compartment than electrical tape. Made for higher heat and abrasion

Got a dumb question, how do you make the new headlight indicator strips you installed light up/flash when you unlock the car. I’ve got it powered by switched 12v but that only allows power when the car is on. Direct to the battery works, but the lights are always on. What is a better way ??

dual input circuit would be great here if you want it powered by a switch, but also to get power from the turn signal circuit at another time.

Since I finally got you to try the wire stripper, I'll throw a few more tips your way. When splicing multiple wires I like to stagger them to minimize the bulkiness. Grab a heat gun that has a wrap around nozzle for heat shrink tubing. Mount the heat gun to the wall facing down and you can switch it on and hold the wire in place. I added a foot switch for added ease of use. When you cut your wire loom material, put a slight singe on it to melt those together so they don't start fraying during install. This takes some practice, because if you singe it too much it won't expand as much to go over the wires.

Great tips 280. I agree with the stagger item, as a practice. That heat gun tip is legendary.

tbh you should wrap the whole thing in tesa tape before putting the loom on since those wires are not rated for temps in an engine compartment. It'd only take a few years for those wires in there to become brittle from freezing and intense heat without something like tesa tape wrapped around them..

you can get an end attachment for your heat gun that has a back shield so it heats all the way around at the same time. also please tell me you're using a fume extractor for soldering otherwise you're going to end up with cancer from inhaling lead and rosin fumes
