I found this by happenstance (going through your vids atm) and I actually have this puzzle in front of me due to going through old stuff I have in the closet and the 2D instructions that came with this puzzle is making it harder than it should be (I compared a few of the puzzles I did solve with the solutions and it'd take way longer to solve them with the instructions as a guide). 8:00 E.G. the one I have start with the fourth from the left as part 'A', the first piece was 'C' and the rest is pretty hard to see as it's (cross-section) 2D (so that you don't really see the details).

You called that protective layer Hard Oil. If I go to the hardware store is that what I'm looking for or is it called something else? Also do you have any other puzzles you can show us how to build? I'm looking to know how to build a puzzle box.

Are these templates still available? It's non-obvious that the plans are available via patreon from what can be seen (I only see one post without an indication of the contents). Additionally the template/plans don't appear to be available on the web shop where newer videos lead to.
