Beautiful work. Can "carve" wood with a rasp disc on an angle grinder. Makes quick work of it.

I kept expecting to hear, "Drill some holes, pound some pegs!" After you drilled the dowel holes.

Nice looking chair, I have been wanting to build one, but didn't see any designs I liked. I do like this one. You can also carve the back rest with sharp spoke shave, going in the right direction of course or just your presented methods. Thanks for the detailed videos, looks great.

I really like this. The only thing you might try is that usually the back rest is tilted forward at the top so when unfolded it won't dig in to your back at the bottom edge. It could be thinner to accommodate the tilt. Just a thought. Nice video, I may have to make one of them myself.

Sometimes you've got a big rod and you've just gotta pound it through some holes.

What you’re saying is, I can gain 50 lb and still sit in the chair. Or, loose 100 lb and stand on it with my brother!

Something About Making features the craftsmanship of David Picciuto 🪚 Nice use of the New Yankee Workshop format! I like the focus on steps, details, methods, etc. The contrast from the usual Make Something style is interesting. I love the usual Make Something style, fun, flashy, fast paced, but I watch those more for entertainment and inspiration. They aren't overly instructional. I hope you continue to produce both styles! Both are great but for different reasons!
