- 2 cups red lentils
- 1 large onion bulb
- 1 red chili bell pepper (tatashe)
- 1 scotch bonnet pepper (atarodo)
- 1 egg
- 1 seasoning cube
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup water for blending
- Salt to taste

I have used lentils to prepare moimoi and my family enjoyed it without knowing it wasn't our usual beans I used. I will be trying the akara soon
