Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for posting.

Nice and simple, thanks. You could turn the wire over after the last offset bend and do the same with the long end. This way the center of the eye is exactly in line with the wire. Again, the simplest ideas are the best. Thanks

just flap the wire around and bend it for the other side .035 dia or.040 if I go heavy have to use bigger nails same if use smaller wire smaller nails and closer together I am still working on the smaller wire I am had bit of a problem with how it's turning out it does look right for me in time it will work out I found that the stainless meg wire works well to make them too. when I use the meg welder the waste wire I use it for my wire or run the wire from the welder itself found it gives me a straighter wire them the roll

If I may, I first took an interest when making inserts for anchovies. Ive bought the Dubros wire bending tool and considered the haywire twist tool as well but what I've ended up using are 3 very inexpensive little tools that are for beadmaking or rather jewelry making. 1st needle nose pliers - 5 bucks the small ones, 2nd clippers - same. third dont know their name but imagine needle nose pliers with 2 tips that instead of flat are round (conical). With these you can make perfect eyelets of varying size and tie really clean barrel wraps. KZfaq jewelry making tools and you will see its basically the same tools for forming lure and leader wire. Very happy with the results - better than many store bought lures and all 3 tools cost me 15.00.

where can I buy 30ft rolls of wires? Do you have to straighten them out?
@timgrant69394 жыл бұрын
You can get 30' rolls at jannsnet craft. www.jannsnetcraft.com/ss-lure-making-wire/311665.aspx I have never needed to straighten it. but I'm using small amounts at a time.

What diameter wire do you use for springs?
@timgrant69396 жыл бұрын
.016 #6 or .020 #20 are my favorites.

Nice, but could you please complete the build and show how you finish your spinner? Do you use the block on the other end? Going to add this to my tackle craft box. 😊😊😊

I use to and still record fishing videos hey if you have spinnerbaits that the skirts are screwed up because of the rubber skirt collars 2 inch zip ties work perfect attaching skirts to spinnerbaits

What diameter wire for spinner shafts for largemouth bass?
@timgrant69396 жыл бұрын
I use (.031 #13) to (.035 #15) .031 works well and is easy to work with. If your going after really big bass go on the heavy side.
@MrDirtysteve756 жыл бұрын
I use .026 for bass. It has 140lbs breaking point. More than enough for bass and you can get it in 170ft rolls for cheap.
@koogleyou5575 жыл бұрын
Smaller is better. Too often as with most other gear ( split rings, swivels, hks) ppl go heavy. My thinking - wire is way stronger than your line. I use 30-50 lb fluoro for king salmon in the saltwater depending on early or late season. .021 wire in stainless steel is aprox 80 lb test. .025 i about 125 lb test. I go w .021 for 20-30 lb salmon. As long as your drag is not cranked down tight you dont need heavy wire.

What size your wire is?

I'm using .010 in this video. But you can use what ever size you need.
