I love her videos when her son is NOT filming. He’s trying to be the center of attention when it’s not about him. Grandma Gloria works really well all by herself. He’s actually distracting the viewers from learning the recipes.

Since I am totally blind, thanks for using measuring spoons and cups. I have been wanting to make gravy for a long time. My family members always use their eyeballs which doesn’t help me at all. Once again, thanks so much. That really meant a lot to me.

Miss Gloria. You brought back so many memories. My father taught me how to make brown gravy! Thank you for sharing, many young people today can gain so much knowledge. Smothered chicken, smothered pork chops, Home made. It doesn't get much better than that. May the Lord bless you as you continue to help so many! btw, my sweet potato pie is in the oven. Thanks for your inspiration.

hi grandma gloria. there is another way you can brown your gravy. you may know what it is already. it's called 'kitchen bouquet' and it doesn't have a flavor a taste, or salt. you can get a very light color all the way to dark brown gravy. it is made with dehydrated veggies, hardly any sugar & salt so its healthier than those gravy packages.my mother always used it and i always use it. it works perfect for gravy. i don't know where you live but it should be available everywhere. i love your video. i'm subscribing! thank you!

Oooohhh momma you sure nuff know how to cook. I love your cooking and it’s all I learned how to cook growing up in the South. I am the youngest of 8 and started cooking at 9 years old. I am 67 and I love using all kinds of drippings to make all kinds of different but always delicious gravies. Young people just want fast and easy but there isn’t anything like home cooked food. I love Publix fried chicken though and they make is so good that I haven’t made fried chicken in years but I tell you what, I still could do it in a heartbeat I have done it so many times in my life. I love him videoing you !! You’re teaching him the good stuff!!

Thank you dear grandma Gloria. My mother fried her chicken and made brown gravy for the mashed potatoes. I asked her so many times to show me how but with 9 of us momma didn't let any of us in kitchen. She got dementia early in her life and couldn't remember how any more. Bless her heart. She left too soon. Thank you for taking the time. I know he was just playing but tell your son? To knock it off, bring it down a notch. I love KFC brown gravy and buy for holidays.but one day I will figure out how to make the gravy and homemade biscuits like momma did. God bless you and your family sweet woman.

I grew up on brown gravy. When you mentioned rice, and mashed potatoes that really caught my attention, we were so poor that sometimes that's all we would have for a meal. I really didn't care for white gravy, but my mom was from the hills of Tennessee and she always made brown gravy. Her specialty to me was egg gravy. It was brown, but cooked with an egg in it, and it really is super delish. That light gravy looks like it would be perfect on mashed potatoes, but the gravy I would eat was always darker than both of those. Thanks for taking the time to make a video like this
