This is a very helpful video! I also have been facing struggles in making my orchestrations more realistic but eventually I found some solutions. Free VSTs can sound very very good with the right modification and THIS comes with the skill level of the arranger. And yeah, you don't need expensive VST to create good music. Sometimes the simplest things can construct the best outcome. 😁

the automation has to deal with the daw too, thats why i struggle with it using a free daw

Fantastic! It’s so easy to want the latest/ most expensive library but understanding what you already have can be the best thing!

Exactly. I've often said that the best instruments/libraries for making music with are the ones you actually have, not the ones you wish you had.

Great videos. Can you do a video on your midi gear and software. On the verge of purchasing/ building a PC with the intention of using a range of midi orchestral samples. What connectivity are you using,,, thunderbolt, USB 3.2x2?

Hi Zach! I’ve just recently discovered your channel and I love it❤! I know this video is older but here’s a question: On the bus track did you mute the dry signal and adjust the wet on the aux?
