better than the other videos who just buy the skate batteries, the skate motor, the skate speed controller and the skate remote control and connect all and its over, you have your e skate completely diy. Great Job

You do realize that’s exactly what he did right? Premise motor, controller, board, etc. He only modified some parts to better suit his use case. On top of which, you couldn’t really compare this to other boards, it’s like comparing little league teaball with the New York Yankees they’re just in completely different leagues

I’d recommend that with this type of e board, you should push it to start. It seems that there’s a lot of resistance and that could potentially burn out the motor. Also, add a higher power battery. At least 24v to get good power. Other than that, pretty impressive!

Pretty sure a smaller wheel accelerates faster so 51mm would be fastest from the start. 58mm is like the slowest acceleration over 51mm.

Ok I seen and made electric board that cost around 500-1000 dollars but this is impressive. Literally making one from things that look like leftover is amazing.

Hey, man Keep up the good work. It may not be the best board out there but you used your brain and intellect to do it. In a way im proud of you man. I started building boards in much the same way. Actually, my first board, i used Adruino and programmed the whole thing myself with a Wii nunchuck as the remote. Keep it up biggest problem is honest money

Improvements can definitely be made but this is a great start. A simple RC remote say for an Airhogs Micro-Helicopter and matching wireless chip... perhaps a larger capacity battery for longer distance. This setup is perfect for flat land... but hills? You might want to put another motor on the front wheels to act as a generator to create a charging feedback loop to the charging circuit. This should in theory slow the energy drain, if not eliminate it.

Good video but i would take an 800 watt bushless outrunner motor for more power. And i think that you need more AH. At least 7.2 for more range.

This is truly a DIY on a budget. I am sure you will upgrade the motor and batteries once the funds are there; still a great job at showing you can still build a eBoard for little. I do have a question for you. . .where did you get the gears and the belt from?

I think you should improve without using strings because it is very inconvenient and replaced with another motor so Skateboard can go faster.

That brushed motor isn't enough it will get hot very quickly, for the best results use a 1/8 scale brushless motor ( 2650 kv) instead of skateboard wheels use bigger longboard wheels and I used a esc I had already for the brushless motor , and I used a traxxas rx/tx to make it wireless and use a remote control, and the last thing I did that was different was I used a 11.1v lipo battery. This setup is enough power to go uphill at fast speeds and the overall the max speed so far is 19.41 mph

wheel diameter affects speed (bigger = faster) so at least 90mm wheels are a must from my point of view.

The speed control is up to 68 volts. So just use more battery and it will go faster. Two 18 volt Makita batteries and you got a speed board

i built this.. the motor and esc work well together but this will never work on the 3s lipo battery that you used.... i used a 5s 3000Mah lipo and i move very slowly... cool video though
