I say not to students to make this uselless and time wasting it is totallay fail

Either there is something wrong with your manufacturing method or you have not used the correct battery. Please use good quality batteries like Eveready or Panasonic batteries.You will see that as soon as you change the battery, bubbles will start forming in the model, these bubbles are bubbles of oxygen
