I extracted lemonelo from lemons in my organic chemistry class at university. It was one of the most beautiful practice project I participated in my university. We Also did other stuff but extracting essential oils was my favorite.

As soon as water becomes steam, it IS distilled water. Tap water should be fine, any minerals and impurities should stay in the boiling vessel.

@@theFearless9 , when we look at extracting essential oils, steam distillation is the best process unless if we need to produce cooking oil from peanut or sunflower? Cold pressed is the way to go
