How to Make Extremely strong Log splitter (using Motoreductor)

TEST and explanation ⏩ • Mechanical Wood Splitt...
As a splitter drive, we used a 2.2 kw / 3hp geared motor, which reduced the gear speed to 20 rpm. I bought it online.
I welded some elements with the MMA method, i.e. the electrode because the welds made with this method are stronger. Yes I know. They do not look good :)
I used the M4 toothed rack (40x40mm) and M4 18-tooth gears.
I didn't show how to connect electrics and power supply because I'm not an electrician and I'm not sure if I connected it right.
In the electrical box I put:
- differential circuit breaker
- overload breaker
- contactor 380V 24V
- 24v power supply
- right / left switch
- 230 V socket
- 380 V socket
In the control panel:
- on button
- off button
- emergency button
What happens if the wood is too hard? Nothing. The overload fuse will cut off the current to the motor.
The whole weighs about 250 - 300 kg.
The machines I did in the earlier videos helped me a lot in building this construction:
• Workshop Crane powered... - Workshop Crane powered by DRILL
• Super Strong Hydraulic... - Making The Hydraulic VISE DIY
• DIY Belt Grinder 2x48"... - DIY Belt Grinder 2x48 "

That looks brilliant. I like that it flips horizontal to vertical. I made a horizontal one a few years back similar to yours but with flywheels instead of a gearbox. The weak point is the pinion on the shaft. Also I used a sacrificial brass plate instead of lubrication on the sliding saddle. Well done chaps👍

You're an awesome tradesmen! Greatly impressed as I can't handle exhaust fumes, so love the electric splitter! Very rugged design! Envious of your Mag Drill with Core Bits, and have learned lot's from your Video! The option of splitting vertically is appreciated by those suffering from back injuries, and with a good medium lenght Pik-a-roon blocks of wood can be just dragged along the ground, avoiding lifting!
