Very cute. Does the spackling hold up outdoors on a wreath?

I would spray it with a sealer if I was going to use them outdoors. I have heard of people putting them on their door Wreaths so I would say they probably would if you sealed them real good. 😊💕

@@RachelsUniqueCrafts Yes it does. I will make smaller watermelons so I can have more then one on the wreath. Some strawberries, some greenery and some summer flowers. Think that will look really nice 😊 First I need to make a Christmas wreath though 😊

@@RachelsUniqueCrafts what sealer would you recommend for the styrofoam? I’d love to make my own wreath picks for my watermelon wreaths, this would be terrific! Unless you’d recommend modeling clay or multiple layers of MDF & then still seal? TIA

Hi Rachel, it’s Tuesday morning here in Sweden when I watch this. This will be interesting 😊 I went down to Dollar Store here in my little town to se what I could find and I’m telling you it wasn’t much. Very disappointed 😢 I had to buy some stuff on the internet so I can make some glass jars. Guess I have to look for this stuff there to.

They are actually not really seedless, it’s just not as much seeds as in “ ordinary “ water melons. Taste pretty much the same though 😊

I have only eaten a few of the seedless watermelons 🍉 and they were not sweet. Maybe I just didn’t a hold of the right ones. 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I wonder if the spackle would need so much red to get past the pink that itd be too watery? You might have made the right choice painting it after! Lol, I havent tried doing a red red spackle only bc Im afraid of it needing too much red paint itd end up being watery or cracking as it dries....have you tried making them since with the paint added? Im just curious because Ive so many problems with even high end brand spackle cracking. I even somehow got a bad batch and almost everything I used it with turned moldy!!!! I was so upset, I NEVER had that happen in ALLL my years using spackle for anything!!! I even called Home Depot and they just said to return it, it must be a bad batch. I didnt even know that could happen and it did have a weird consistency when I opened it, but the 3 or 4 projects had to scrapped. I had taken a hiatus from fake bakes after that, lol, but ready to get back to it bc I have boxes of supplies now just sitting there and with summer coming, I need to get using it up now! Lol!

Oh wow. I haven’t gotten any bad spackle yet. I know how disheartening that must have been for you, especially to get projects done and then for them to be ruined. I have found to get the bright red and blues especially, it is better to paint them because when I added the paint to the spackle it just didn’t get the brightness that I wanted even at the point of it getting watery, it still was not bright enough for me. I hope you don’t get anymore bad spackle my friend. So happy that you are planning to fake bake again. I need to do a little more myself. Lol So many projects and so little time. 😊💕
