I want all the straps >:) i would make it have the strips be a clip on and install mental loops on the bag and that way it can be changed for transport. Transformer suit bag😂

yesss you get the idea! pinning your comment so others can see that that is an option too! I debated putting that in the video too but didn't really have any examples to provide visually. not to mention I'm not sure about where to get the hardware for that reliably, and i know people would ask for links XD

Oh Freckle. I can literally always count on you for everything. I read Matrice's tutorial on their website for this case but had to look it up again to double check what material I would need for the case itself and clicked this link not knowing it was you. You have taught me everything from your pickable nose to your eyes to your furring. You're extremely helpful, relaxing to just watch, and super clear with your instructions. It's always a pleasure seeing your tutorials!

Adore this video! So incredibly helpful, your talent and skill is truly astonishing. If one was to make a bag for a hard resin/ 3D-printed head base, would you recommend using a liner fabric or do you think the fur of the fursuit would be enough of a buffer? In case any accidental bumps or drops were to occur
@freckledcatcreations
@freckledcatcreations 11 ай бұрын
Very good question! I think if you wanted the most protection you should find one of those quilted cotton fabrics that actually has a layer of quilt batting sandwiched in the middle of the two fabric layers, that would be good! not all of the quilted fabrics have this, so make sure you buy the right thing. if you have any areas youre specifically worried about, maybe you could attach some extra padding pockets inside or outside the bag to further cushion those areas!

I never thought about the different kinds of straps a headcase/bag could have. Do you think this technique could be used to make a digigrade friendly carrybag?

@@Blueshark8O9 totally! I guess you would bundle the body up and clingwrap that to make sure you make a bag that's big enough for the padding and everything. go ahead and try it.

@freckledcatcreations
@freckledcatcreations 11 ай бұрын
Of course! Any kinda soft pleather/vinyl or 'quilted fabric' works - basically sturdy to resist dirt and damage a little but flexible enough to still be sewn into a soft bag. This stuff came from big z from their quilted fabric section; my first head bag I made from quilted broadcloth from joanns, etc! I think some have double layered cotton with some quilt batting in the middle; this kind from big z just had some kind of white fabric on the other side of the blue satin and was just stamped with a diamond pattern, not sewn in a quilting way.

Heya! Would polar fleece work instead of quilted fabric? It has some stretch and is quite soft, it’s kinda like kinky but thicker
@freckledcatcreations
@freckledcatcreations 10 ай бұрын
I wouldn't fully suggest it, since 1) it will pill really easily and fleece is a dust/dirt magnet! it'll very easily get dirty and gross looking. I personally liked using satin / pleather since it is smoother and stuff doesnt stick to it as easily!

Are you able to add room to put the paws in?(depending on the size, or they get their own bag)
@freckledcatcreations
@freckledcatcreations 9 ай бұрын
Totally - either you can just stuff the paws inside the head cavity while traveling, or if you just put the paws next to the head as you're cling wrapping the head up for the pattern, this is a way to ensure there's room to put the hands in there!

Hello! I just got a shaver for my fursuit and im wondering if i should shave before or after the skin is glued on. :)
@freckledcatcreations
@freckledcatcreations Жыл бұрын
It's sometimes hard to get into the tight areas on the head with the shaver, so I suggest pre-shaving your pieces before you sew them together, get it as neat as you can beforehand, then once the fur's glued on, do a touch-up shave !

i think you could use this same technique for that too! they answered a question about resin heads (to which they said it might be better to use a quilted fabric that has batting sewn in it) and since dinomasks are a similar hard plastic material i'm sure you could use the same thing. tbh it might be easier w a dinomask since they have slimmer faces!
