I really appreciate how beginner-friendly this tutorial is! I have a quick question about the backstitch - as you mention in the video, the seam can be laid flat unlike the blanket stitch seam. How do you keep the seam flat when you're gluing the fur onto the head?

I really want to make a fursuit but I've never attempted it w/foam, only w/cardboard. I might try it but my parents might not approve of me "waisting" my money on foam.

I've been looking for something like this, mainly because I wanted to do a monkey fursuit, but not just based on any monkey, I've been trying to look for people doing primate themed fursuits as a reference of some kind, so that I could make one based on none other than Son Wukong the Monkey king himself 🐒 aka the original inspiration for Goku :D This is because I want to stand out the most, once I finally go to a furry convention.

I've never made fursuit before, and I just got the foam to start today, but I'd say use your own head! Like to measure out things, especially if you're making it for yourself!

Oh Freckle. I can literally always count on you for everything. I read Matrice's tutorial on their website for this case but had to look it up again to double check what material I would need for the case itself and clicked this link not knowing it was you. You have taught me everything from your pickable nose to your eyes to your furring. You're extremely helpful, relaxing to just watch, and super clear with your instructions. It's always a pleasure seeing your tutorials!

When you cut the triangles into the fur so it lays flat, how do you sew them? Do you just let a hole there and dont sew them at all, or do i have to sew along there and knot the thread everytime new??
