If you want to try something interesting and maybe a little weird, try using Dean's French Onion Dip instead of any liquids/fats in mashed potatoes. It might sound a little funky but omg is it delicious.

The first time I made this, I managed to get all the ingredients, I also cooked it on a wire rack. I cut off a piece and tried it, instantly felt like my muscles relaxed and needed to take a seat while eating it. The second time, I didn't have any red wine to use, eating it then was overbearing, I didn't know why till I started watching you're videos, it has too high a fat content without the acidity from the wine to cut through it.

I was just searching for some Food Wars vids, to recap the best moments of the last 3 seasons before starting season 4, when I found this channel. I've never been into reaction videos or watching anime with other people online, but there was something fun about this. I love food, have been cooking for years, and ran my own kitchen for awhile, but I never went to culinary school, so I lacked that background. Eventually I ended up with a job in my field of study (accounting) but my passion is still food. I guess it's just cool to find somebody genuinely excited for both the excellent anime storytelling and the amazing food of Food Wars. And on top of that, getting to see some of the recipes brought to life is really fun, but it's made even better because this is in a real kitchen. I love cooking channels on KZfaq, but they all take place in my dream kitchen versus the kitchen that I have. This is a nice, normal kitchen, but Chef PK is still pumping out some really great food. There's a lot of negativity in the KZfaq anime community, and it's nice to have something like this, someone that's just unironically enthusiastic about anime spreading good vibes and good food. Keep up the videos man, I really think you're just getting started!

Made it once 1. Didnt use a wire rack or some sort. The bottom part is grey in color. 2. Mash potato is not seasoned well. Literally just potatoes and it crumbled down. 3. I kept beurre rouge over heat while adding butter. It split. Aaaaaaaaaaand you just fixed all of those

My first attempt at cooking in the first time in forever, if not the first time at all, is all that to Food Wars and Chef PK. This video is what I used to make a recipe and a broken ingredients list to make my own Gotcha Pork Roast when my mom asked me what I wanted to cook for New Year's Day. It was so fun exploring in the kitchen with my mom like the old days and I wanna keep improving myself and the improvised recipe. tldr: Thank You so much for inspiring me to cook Chef!

1.) it would flatten the bacon a bit and bring the fat together. 2.) for the amount that I used, I would have added about a half a cup of Panko and went from there.

I made it yesterday evening. My son gave me the challenge to do it, as I am always looking for new recipes and ideas. It was very good, especially that I used a very fine kind of potato I can find here in Montreal, "la ratte" and a maple syrup flavoured bacon. Made my son very happy, which was the goal... thanks for this !
