Yes, that was the plastic filed with graphene/graphite in ratio1:10. The resistance of Z was similat to the resistance of □ measurements.

But like I say,... the resistance is depending on the amount of conductive material, type of material and in the end the pressing force
@MrFmiller
@MrFmiller 4 жыл бұрын
It would have been useful to have a baseline resistance reading of the graphite for comparison. There must be a point of saturation where the material loses it’s plasticity. It would be interesting to see how low the resistance can be while the material is still plastic.

@@cayrex I think intercalated and expanded graphite or graphene would probably make is way stronger as Graphene is at least 200 times stronger than steel. When compressed it might make it stronger. The issue is to mixca high concentration of graphene or graphite. Probably a bit or resin would give the stiffness.

If you mix some metal powder such as copper or aluminum into the mixture. If you then throw the pressed graphite plastic into hydrochloric acid, the metals remaining on the surface will dissolve. Metal powders that cannot be reached by the acid remain in the material and can contribute to conductivity. Acetone doesnt actually dissolve PS fully - it just weakends it fast and releases all thengas in the EPS. So can never make a good paint like this. Even saturated with acetone it will always remain a loose putty/like consistency. Quite a few common paint thinner solvents like toluene and xylene can do a full dissolution that could make it paintable or even sprayable (nice for electroplating non-metals). Also benzene (usually sold as brake cleaner) and chloroform are other alternatives. I have not tested the latter myself
@cayrex
@cayrex 21 күн бұрын
Yes correct. Here is no need that the acetone will completely dissolved the PS, because in the end I make it into a hard electrode and not into the ink. If you want to make into the ink, then you will need toluene.
